Christmas Ornament
Welcome to week 10 of my 12 weeks of Christmas blitz. The Clear ornaments were purchased from “Pack it In” They’re an online store only, and have some great packaging ideas
Supplies used for this project:
- Stamps: Teeny Tiny Sentiments
- Ink: Black Stazon Ink
- Paper: Seasons of Style Designer paper, Whisper White CS
- Accessories: Linen Thread, Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon
- Other: Clear Plastic Circular ornament
Dimensions:
- Whisper White CS: scrap
- Season of Style DP: Sixteen 1/2″ x 6″
- Linen Thread: 4″ piece and 8″ piece
Step-by-Step Directions
Step 1: Curl a ½” x 6″ strip of designer paper around your pencil, making sure that the pattern you want showing is facing out. Repeat with the remaining pieces of DP. Note: you may need more or less than sixteen pieces of DP depending on how tight you roll your DP.
Step 2: Place your curled ribbon papers into the circular ornament. Once the ornament is full, replace the ornament cap.
Step 3: Insert the Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon through the top of the ornament and tie it into a bow. Trim off the ends of the ribbon with paper snips.
Step 4: Insert an 8″ piece of linen thread through the top of the ornament and tie the ends together into a knot.
Step 5: Stamp the “Merry Christmas” greeting onto Whisper White CS using Black Stazon ink, using a Stamp-a-ma-jig if necessary.
Step 6: Insert a 4″ piece of linen thread through the hole of the tag and tie it around the knot of the Cherry Cobbler Seam binding ribbon. Trim off the ends of the thread using paper snips. You’re done.
