Countdown to Christmas

Each year our family draw a name out of a hat to decide which sibling, spouse and children we will be buying Christmas presents for.  This year my husband and I were assigned my brother Ashley and his 3 Children aged 4, 3 and 8months.  The holiday catalogue showed an example of a perfect countdown to Christmas (pg 12-13) What a GREAT idea… instead of using muslin bags I decided to make sourcream containers.

For the containers, I used the Seasons of Style Designer Series Paper Stack.  So easy no cutting necessary.

To make the containers apply the adhesive like this (I recommend using Sticky Strip)

step 1

Roll the container into a tube, than pinch one end closed.  Add treats (or whatever you want to put inside), I put a couple of wrapped lollies plus a note advising what the activity for the day would be.  than pinch the other end closed in the opposite direction.

step 2

Attached the tag using a staple, then adhere the button using a glue dot to hide the staple and your done!

Some of the activities I included:

Make Christmas Gift tags

Make Rocky Road and add a gift tag that you made and give to someone special

Movie Night and sleepover party

Make pancake breakfast for mum & Dad

Skype Grammie & Grandpa in Prague and tell them about all your adventures

Decorate a Gingerbread house

See the Christmas Lights

Enjoy an ice-cream Sundae

Add a decoration to the Christmas Tree

Don’t forget to leave Santa some treats.

Read a Christmas Story

Do a fun family Activity (Bubble blowing)

I would love to hear idea you may have to add to the 12 days of Christmas activities
