Design Your Own Graduation Invitations

Design Your Own Graduation Invitations

The Year 12 Students from the local high school wanted to create their own graduation invites for their end of year celebrations.   I sat down with them and discussed their ideas.  The colour scheme was Black, White & Gold.  As they were being mass produced we needed to keep the design simple.  After a few ideas and templates were created they decided on this one below

The front of the invite we printed names onto Cardstock and die cut around them using the Stitched Framelit Dies these dies are my favourite as they frame a greeting perfectly. They come in 3 different shapes (Circle, Oval & Square) We added a Glimmer Gold Piece cut from Layered Ovals Framelit and tied the invitation together with Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon.

Making the pocket like invite weren’t that easy so we opt for ordering premade pockets for us to decorate.  The inside was very simple.  The year 12 graduates printed their invites onto cardstock

We added a piece of Vellum to the front of the printed invitation and held it together with a piece of Gold Metallic Ribbon (this also matched the front of the invite).  TIPto save on Glimmer Paper we cut thin strips and adhered them to the center panel on the left and right edge.  The invite was closed using a glue dot.

The Year 12 Graduates had a great time putting their invitations together. Next time you need to create a custom invite, gift idea or greeting card contact me I will be happy to help you design your project and your design could also be featured on my blog.
