Glittered Snowflake

Welcome to Week 5 of my 12 Weeks of Christmas Blitz.

I know it doesn't snow here in Australia but I just had to use the snowflake stamp set.

Supplies used for this project:

• Stamps: Festive Flurry, Snowflake Soiree, More Merry Messages
• Ink: Crumb Cake Classic Ink, Versamark
• Paper: Whisper White, Crumb Cake CS, Seasons of Style DP
• Accessories: Bone folder, Stamping' Sponge, Embossing Buddy, Heat & Stick Powder, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Heat Tool, Real Red 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, SNAIL Adhesive

Dimensions:

• Whisper White CS: 15cm x 21cm (5 7/8" x 8 1/4") 
• Crumb Cake CS: 5.7cm x 2.5cm (4 1/8" x 1")
• Seasons of Style DP:  10.5cm x 5.7cm (4 1/8" x 2 1/4")
• Real Red 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon: 2 x 15cm pieces

Step-by-Step Directions

 

Step 1: Fold the Whisper White CS in half, with a bone folder creating a card base.  Sponge the edges of the card front using a wedge of Stamping Sponge and Crumb Cake Classic Ink

 

Step 2: Run an embossing buddy over your card front.  Stamp the 2nd Smallest snowflake from Festive Flurry Stamp set in the top left corner of the card using versamark ink.  Stamp the small snowflake from Snowflake Soiree stamp set below and to the right of the first snowflake in versamark ink (see card picture for placement of snowflakes)

 

Step 3: Sprinkle Heat and stick powder over the VersaMark images.  Tap off any excess.  Heat with a heat tool until the Heat and Stick powder melts.

 

Step 4: Sprinkle Dazzling Diamonds glitter onto the snowflakes.  Tap off any excess.  Heat with a heat tool to set the glitter.  Use a stipple brush to gently brush away any remaining excess glitter.  Set the card base aside for a moment.

 

Step 5: Take a piece of Crumb Cake CS and sponge the edges with Crumb Cake Classic ink and a wedge of Stamping

Step 6: Stamp the greeting from More Merry Messages Stamp Set onto the strip of Crumb Cake CS in Crumb Cake Classic Ink.  Use a Stamp-a-ma-jig if necessary.

Step 7: Centre and stick the greeting piece along the top edge of the Seasons of Style DP with SNAIL Adhesive

 

Step 8: Flip the DP over and then center and place some SNAIL Adhesive along the left and right edges.  Flip the DP back over and lay a 15cm piece of Real Red Stitched Grosgrain ribbon across the DP so that is covers the seam where the CS meets the DP.  Bring the ends of the ribbon around to the back of the DP and stick it to the SNAIL Adhesive

Step 9: Stick the DP to the card front with SNAIL Adhesive

Step 10: Tie a 15cm piece of Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon in the knot around the first piece.  Position the knot towards the left of the card. Trim the ends of the ribbon.  You're Done!
