Happy Anniversary

This past week my husband and I celebrated our 3rd Wedding Anniversary.  I have an amazing husband who loves and adores me, and likes to leave surprises for me every so often and our anniversary was no exception.  I arrived home late from work (approx. 1:30am)  open the door into the house from the garage and found this.  Love hearts from the door to the kitchen along the bench with chocolates (I love anything chocolate) scattered on the bench.

There was also a handmade card on the bench which brought tears to my eyes.  I am truly lucky to have such an amazing, wonderful husband.  I was fast asleep when my husband left for work the following morning, we had not seen each other at all that weekend.  (when I arrived home from work, he was asleep, when he left for work – I was asleep).  but I was able to leave him a card to show my appreciation for him.

Here’s how I created the card

1. Fold the Coastal Cabana Cardstock in half to create a 14.8cm x 10.5cm card.
2. Using the Big Shot and the Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, emboss the 14.5cm x 10.1cm Whisper White Cardstock. Centre and adhere the embossed cardstock to the card.
3. Stamp the ‘love’ image from Seasonal Sayings Stamp set in Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe and Coastal Cabana ink on a 7 x 7.5cm piece of Whisper White Cardstock.
4. Punch hearts from Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe and Coastal Cabana Cardstock using the Owl Punch. Adhere each heart to the corresponding ‘love’.
5. Adhere the stamped 7 x 7.5cm piece of Whisper White Cardstock to the 7.8 x 7.5cm piece of Champagne Glimmer Paper.
6. Adhere the 8cm piece Coastal Cabana 3/8″ (1 cm) Ruffled Stretch Trim to the back of the Champagne Glimmer Paper with Sticky Strip
7. Add the Tea Lace Paper Doily to the back of the Champagne Glimmer Paper, slightly over hanging under the Coastal Cabana ruffled Stretch Trim and trim the excess with paper snips
8. Cut a banner shape from the Strawberry Slush Cardstock and adhere it to the back of the Tea Lace Paper Doily. Adhere the entire piece to the card.
9. Adhere a Vintage Faceted Designer Button to the card. Tie a bow using Whisper White Baker’s Twine and adhere it to the Vintage Faceted Designer Button with a glue dot.  You’re Done!
