How to make a Friendship Greeting Card

When I first saw the Wild Rose Stamp Set, I knew I just had to have it.  So today’s project we’re creating a fun Friendship greeting card using this set.

A Wild Rose - Hello Friend

Supplies:

  • Stamps – To a Wild Rose (149452)
  • Ink – Memento Black Ink (132708), Versamark (102283), Calypso Coral (147101), Petal Pink (147108), Old Olive (147090)
  • Paper – Whisper White (106549),  Thick Whisper White CS (140490), Black CS (121688)
  • Other –Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Stitched Shape Dies (145372), Wild Rose Dies (149547), White Embossing Powder (109132), Heat Tool (129056)

Dimensions:

  • Thick Whisper White CS: 5-7/8″ x 8-1/4″
  • Whisper White CS: 3-7/8″ x 4-1/8″, and a scrap piece
  • Basic Black CS: scrap piece

Directions:

  1. Stamp the outline flower image near center of Whisper White CS using Black ink.  Create a mask, over the stamped flower and stamp the flower outline image again in Black ink just above the first flower and again below the first flower. Remove mask
  2. Stamp the 2nd layer flower image in Calypso Coral ink in the middle flower.  Stamp the 1st layer flower image in Petal Pink ink onto the middle flower
  3. Mask the flower again and stamp the outline leaves onto in black ink.  Remove mask and place it on the top and bottom flowers and stamp the outline leaves in black ink again
  4. Stamp 2 leaves outline images onto scrap White CS
  5. Stamp the 2nd layer of leaves image in Old Olive ink into the leaves.  Die cut using Wild Rose Dies
  6. Stamp greeting in Versamark ink onto scrap piece of Black CS.  Sprinkle White Embossing powder and heat set.  Die cut using a circle image from the Stitched Shape Dies
  7. Adhere die cut leaves to the back of greeting.  Adhere greeting and leaves to card front using stampin’ dimensionals,  Adhere card front to Thick Whisper White Cardbase using double sided adhesive.  You’re Done!
