Make a Card Monday
Make a Card Monday
This new addition to the blog will happen in one of two ways
- Every Monday we are going to take a card and make it over using all Stampin’ Up! product AND/ OR
- We will use a sketch, colour combination, or some other challenge to create a card
This allows you to see the versatility of Stampin’ Up! product and will maybe encourage you to look at the supplies in your stash in a new light. This is probably one of my favourite “features” because often times when my mojo feels low, I give it a boost by making over some of my favourite cards.
To kick off our First “Make a Card Monday” Challenge my team have created a sketch (see below)
How to Use a Sketch
Sketches are basically blueprints for your creativity. Sketches are made up of different shapes and elements and are basically an outline to follow. The purpose of a sketch is to give you inspiration for the layout of your card design.
For my sketch today, I decided to use a piece of patterned paper for my background and this piece comes from the Delightful Daisy DSP.
My greeting is from the Rose Wonder stamp Set. I love the font of the greetings in this set, and to finish it off I’ve added a bit of bling using Rhinestones.
Alternative Tips & Ideas
There are different ways you can interpret this sketch try one of the following suggestions
- Emboss a piece of cardstock with your favourite embossing folder to add texture
- Change the orientation of the sketch design and create a landscape card
- Snip the ends of the greeting strip to create a banner
Video Tutorial
