Make It Monday #14 Colour Blocking

Colour blocking is a quick and easy way to create cards with some great bold colours.  Once again I’m sharing with you this years new In-colours (Pineapple Punch, Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Blueberry Bushel and Call me Clover).  Check out another project using these colours HERE

Colour Blocking, Thankful Thoughts

Supplies:

  • Stamps – Thankful Thoughts
  • Ink – Memento Black Ink
  • PaperWhisper White CS, 2018-2020 Incolour, Thick Whisper White CS
  • Other Double Sided adhesive, Stampin’ Dimensional’s, Big Shot, Stitched Shapes Framelit, Linen Thread

Dimensions:

  • Thick Whisper White CS – 8-1/4” x 5-7/8” (21 x 15cm) scored and fold at 4-1/8” (10.5cm) to create a cardbase
  • Whisper White CS – 3-7/8” x 5-5/8” scrap piece
  • 2018-2020 In colour CS – 4” x 3cm (1 for each colour)

Directions:

  1. Stamp the greeting onto a scrap piece of Whisper White CS in Memento Black Ink. Die cut greeting using Stitched Framelits dies and Big Shot machine
  2. Place each colour strip under each other onto the 3-7/8” x 5-5/8” Whisper white CS using double sided adhesive. Flip over and cut an overhang off
  3. Create a messy string using the Linen Thread and adhere to the bottom right of your colour blocking card front.
  4. Adhere greeting using stampin dimentionals over the messy string
  5. Adhere the colour blocking piece to your card base using double sided adhesive. You’re done!
