Make It Monday #8 – Adding a Glitter Border

Make It Monday #8 – Adding a Glitter Border

Last week I shared a tip “How to create a Glitter Border”  read about it HERE.  Today I thought I would share with you how to create the project using this technique.

I started off with a piece of Crumb Cake CS and placed  my tear tape all around the edge, after pealing the backing away, I sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds glitter tapping off the excess.

I’ve stamped my greeting and flower image from the Birthday Blooms stamp set using the new stamparatus tool.  I love how simple this card was to create.

Supplies:

  • Stamps – Birthday Blooms
  • Ink – Early Espresso, Calypso Coral
  • Paper – Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake CS

Dimensions:

  • Calypso Coral CS – 4-1/2” x 9” scored at 4-1/2” to create a 4-1/2” x 4-1/2” cardbase
  • Crumb Cake CS – 5-5/8” x 4” piece and a 5-1/8” x 3-1/2” piece

Directions:

  1. Apply tear tape around the outer perimeter of the larger crumb cake cardstock. Remove the backing and apply glitter, set aside
  2. Using a stampartus or stamp-a-ma-jig stamp the greeting in early espresso ink and the flower in calypso coral ink on the smaller crumb cake CS piece
  3. Adhere the stamped panel to the glitter panel using stampin dimentionals
  4. Adhere the matted glitter panel to the cardbase using double sided adhesive
  5. Add some rhinestones. You’re done!
