Marble Painting for Cardmakers
Marble Painting for Cardmakers
I recently did a crafting project with my 2 year old daughter Bianca using Marbles and paint to create an abstract art piece. You can read about it on this link “Marble Painting for Toddlers” This was such fun activity and wondered if I could do the same technique using re-inkers instead of paint.
I started by add several drops of dye ink refill (one colour) to a plastic container with a lid. Add several marbles to the container and close the lid. Shake the box from side to side until the marbles are inked. The ink drops will be replaced by ink tracks in the container.
Stick the Cardstock to the inside of the lid of the container, and then close the lid. Flip the box upside down and shake the container from side to side so that the marbles are rolling all over the Cardstock. Continue until you like the look of the pattern on the Cardstock.
If desired, repeat the process with a second or third colour of ink, making sure you clean the container and marbles in between. Alternately you can use a VersaMark ink refill, and then emboss the marble tracks with clear or iridescent ice embossing powder
I wish you could see this card in real life, that shine from the clear embossing powder looks amazing!
