Masculine – Die Cut Inlay
Masculine – Die Cut Inlay
A Die cut inlay is not a new technique it has been around for some time. Die Cut Inlay is when you cut an image or shape and put it back in the same place, this give it a bit of dimension as appose to leaving your image just stamped.
I’ve created my background using a sponging technique and various colours (Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler & Cajun Craze). Sponging is one of the most easiest and cheapest ways to add contrast and character to your project. Learn more about Stampin’ Up! Sponges HERE
I’ve stamped my image from Vintage Leaves Stamp Set in Versamark Ink and Gold Embossing Powder. Next I Die cutted the image using my coordinating Framelits Leaflets Framelits. After adhering my sponged cardstock to my Cajun Craze Mat I replaced my die cut image with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Tricks & Tips
- Hold your sponge tightly and start my sponging off the cardstock to remove any excess ink and then gradually in a circular motion sponge onto the cardstock til you have the desired effect.
