Peace on Earth
The countdown to Christmas is on! With less than 3 months to go I'm sure most of you have started thinking what kind of adorable projects to start making for friends, family and co-workers. Well I have a solution for you. I've decided to embark on a Christmas project tutorial blitz.
For the next 12 weeks I will be releasing a new FREE tutorial every week commencing 2 October and finishing 18 December!
Some will be super easy and some will be more involved. While you may find some projects are old favorites, a number of them will be brand new.
This weeks project is a card featuring Stampin' Up! Snowflake Soiree Stamp set carried over from last year.
Supplies used for this project:
- Stamps: Snowflake Soriee, Greetings of the Season
- Ink: Pool Party, Marina Mist, Midnight Muse Classic Ink Pad, versamark
- Paper: Pool Party, Whisper White CS
- Accessories: Stampin' sponges, Stampin' Dimentionals, Basic Rhinestones, Clear Embossing Powder, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Heat gun, Apothecary Accent Framelits, Big Shot, bone folder, embossing buddy
Dimensions:

- Whisper White CS: 14.3cm x 9.8cm, (5 5/8" x 3 7/8") scrap piece
Step-by-Step Directions
Step 1: Fold the Pool Party Cardstock in half, with a bone folder creating a card base. Set aside for a moment.
Step 2: Run an embossing buddy over the surface of the Whisper White Cardstock
Step 3: Randomly stamp the large snowflake image, three times, onto the whisper white cardstock using versmark ink. Sprinkle with Clear embossing powder over the snowflake images. Tap off the excess embossing powder. Heat this with a heat tool until the embossing powder has melted
Step 4: Randomly stamp the small snowflake image, three times, onto the whisper white cardstock using versmark ink. Sprinkle with Clear embossing powder over the snowflake images. Tap off the excess embossing powder. Heat this with a heat tool until the embossing powder has melted
Step 5: Sponge the Whisper White CS, using a wedge of stamping sponge and pool party classic ink.
Step 6: Sponge the Whisper White CS, using a wedge of stamping sponge and Marina Mist classic ink.
Step 7: Sponge the Whisper White CS, using a wedge of stamping sponge and Midnight Muse classic ink
Step 8: Rub a tissue over the embossed snowflakes to remove any ink. Set aside for this to dry completely before you proceed. Working one snowflake at a time, heat one of the embossed snowflakes, using a heat tool. Immediately sprinkle Iridescent Ice embossing powder over the snowflake image. Heat this with a heat tool until the embossing powder has melted. Repeat for each of the remaining snowflakes on the CS
Step 9: Stamp the greeting onto scrap of Whisper White CS using midnight muse Classic Ink. Die cut using Apothecary Accent framelits and big shot.
Step 10: Centre and stick the whisper white CS to the pool party card base with double sided adhesive
Step 11: Stick the greeting label to your card, covering any blank space you may have using stampin' Up! dimentionals.
Stick a large basic rhinestone to the centre of the large snowflakes and a medium basic rhinestone to the centre of the small snowflakes. You're done!
