Pick a Pattern

Pick a Pattern

It’s been four (4) years since I started this blog and I’ve shared a lot with you during that time.  Today, I went back to the beginning and found this project, the second blog post I wrote (or lack of)

Birthday Basics, Teeny Tiny Sentiments

I thought it would be fun to recreate this Clean And Simple Card using current Stampin’ Up! product.  The patterned Paper is the star of this project, so I went to my collection of Patterned Papers.

There are so many fabulous papers to choose from and finding one that I was willing to cut up?? Well, that was a challenge also. but I ended up deciding upon “Pick a Pattern” DSP.

I’ve kept my layout the same and change the ribbon from a bow in the original to a faux bow using Crushed Curry Mini Chevron Ribbon.  I’m loving all the new ribbon so much that I’m struggling to find a favourite.

My greeting well funny enough I’ve actually used the same Stamp set Teeny Tiny Sentiments, that was used in my original card. Yep it’s still around.  This set is so versatile it has a greeting for any and every occasion .

Tricks & Tips

  • Lay your ribbon across your cardstock to measure the length that is needed.  This will save you using too much ribbon and prevent excess wastage
  • Use glue dots to adhere your ribbon to the back of your cardstock

Video Tutorial

I’ve created a video tutorial on how I created today’s card.  If you’re looking for written instructions you can view them in my original post HERE
