Rainbow Strokes with Flowers

Happy Thursday everyone!

Card making at it's simplest is a one-layer card.  While one-layer cards are the simplest form of card making, they can also be very intimidating when you go to create them.  Just one layer – no embellishments, no ribbons, no additional printed papers.  How do you create cards without all your favourite supplies? 

The first step in creating a one-layer card is to keep it simple.  Of course the term simple can represent very different styles. Think about a great image and the perfect sentiment and go from there.  Don't worry about whether your printed paper  matches your ribbon.  In fact, the main supplies you will need for one-layer card creations are usually cardstock, stamps, ink and markers.

For todays card, I stamped the paint swatch image from Work of Art Stamp set in a rainbow of colours (check the supply list below for colour names), and then heat white embossed the flowers and sentiment from Butterfly Basics Stamp Set
