Weekend Challenge #3
Weekend Challenge #3
This week we have a sketch challenge. I use to think sketches were hard, but after you’ve done a few they become quite easy and to be honest a sketch is now my go to for inspiration when I need a “Kickstart in my Creativity”
How to Use a Sketch
Sketches are basically blueprints for your creativity. Sketches are made up of different shapes and elements and are basically an outline to follow. The purpose of a sketch is to give you inspiration for the layout of your card design.
I’ve stamped the outline image of the flower from Garden Bloom stamp set with Rich Razzleberry ink over the top portion of my cardbase. The bottom portion is 2″ x 5-7/8″ piece DSP from the Garden Bloom DSP pack.
I’ve stamped my greeting from Teeny Tiny Sentiments in Rich Razzleberry Ink, and finished my card with some Whisper White Bakers Twine.
Alternative Tips & Ideas
There are different ways you can interpret this sketch try one of the following suggestions
- Emboss a piece of cardstock with your favourite embossing folder to add texture or your favourite Patterned Paper
- Change the orientation of the sketch design and create a portrait card
- Replace the bow for a button
